We also share our thoughts on Algorithmic Level Design in the Designer’s Corner, and I take over General Geekeries to share with you all my love of Scott Pilgram. Prince of Persia: Review

Monday, December 8th, 2008

I’ve been looking forward to the new Prince of Persia for some time now. Ever since they announced that they were, once again, going to reboot the franchise, I’ve been looking forward to it. The Sands of Time series had gotten stale, in my opinion, and a new direction, along with some new flashy visuals seemed exactly what Prince of Persia needed. Now I’ve made my initial thoughts known during our last podcast. Since then, I have to admit that I’ve come to warm up to it a bit more. I can’t honestly say that I’ve become enthralled with it, but I’m enjoying it at the moment, and I figure I’ll keep on enjoying it for as long as it lasts, which from what I understand isn’t that long.

But enough about me.

Halo 3: Review

Monday, December 8th, 2008

So you’re probably scratching your head right about now, wondering why I’m posting a Halo 3 review. The game has been out for over a year now, and there should be tonnes of other review to be posting up . Well, first of all, I would really like to see a large back catalogue of reviews for the site. So it really doesn’t matter how old a game is (well, to a certain degree), because there’s always going to be a place for it on our site.

Secondly, I’ve actually had this review sitting on my hard drive for some time now; in fact, this is the first user-submitted review we ever received, but I’ve simply been putting off editing it for the longest time – and that’s just awful on my part.

So thanks Matt for being the first to send in a review, and thanks for being so patient with me.
