First off, Halo is one of the few American games out there, so why should it be made into an anime? Why not go to Marvel, whose own animated features are quite good and they even make the Halo comics now? This is, like Doran said, just an attempt to gain money. But what will probably happen is they will lose fans. Watch the videos released early, in some of them they don't even use Halo style architecture for buildings.
