I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that most of you out there reading this right now are probably not familiar with Acadieman, the first Acadian superhero!
Created by Acadian musician, cartoonist, and Moncton resident, Daniel “Dano” Leblanc, Acadieman is an animated series that debuted in 2005 on Rogers TV and offers an interesting look on Acadian culture and the local dialog called “shiac” which is a mixture of English, French, and old French.
If you’re interested in checking out some of the episodes – and I highly recommend that you do – you can find some of them here. Keep in that these aren’t subtitled, so they may be hard to get into at first if you don’t understand French, but if you do, or can get past the initial hump, then you should be in for a treat.

and honestly, wouldn’t we have been better off without the Watchmen?

I think I’ve made my point pretty clear when it comes to the Watchmen movie.
